A New Experience =]

A new learning experience and plus a vacation too.

So I got a call from my uncle saying that two people are coming here at Nepal. They were actually coming to visit a village for some project and one of them was like making a small documentary of 'Life of a student of a Nepali Student.'

They were from Neuniton Rotatory Club & BBC News , U.K.

I had to travel all the way to Lakhutibot, Lama Gaun, Kaski.

This village is a place where my father was born but he left the village before 30 years, started to live in Pokhara and then settled here at Kathmandu for his education and career making. He is an Architect now, hence all thanks to him for giving us lots of facilities and good life, Thank you so much my dearest Baba....

So back to the trip now.......
I went till Duligauda along with my dad by our car and there we met Sue and Allan. I also met my other aunts, they came to pick us up on a jeep which only goes to village areas.

Well it was almost 1 and half hour or so, the roads were really scary at times and too bumpy as well. We were welcomed there so sweetly, with white tikas and beautiful garlands, also with some delicious food.
I saw such an amazing mountain view.

Sue and Allan called me daughter and they were my new mom and dad....haha......
P.S: They both were friends. They were really frank and sweet.
The work was actually the other day. We had to go to the village school and I basically had to do lots of translation, that was my actual job there :D But as a student of a social worker and rural development I got a chance to experience other things too.

I and Sue shared a same room, which was good for both as it was totally a new and different place for us. Staying at a village area is definitely hard if you've been living in cities or capitals. I actually had the hardest time going to bathrooms and taking showers........way difficult than I actually thought.

At first when we went to the school, they welcomed us by some music, tikas and then garlands, I spoke few words and then work STARTS!!!!!

Those three days were really amazing, I ate a lot, worked hard and it was a new experience. Though I missed my home and wanted to return back as soon as possible haha!!!!!

I got loads of things to say but I guess these pictures gonna tell ya all ;)

Shooting ^ ^

Hello my awesome and beautiful people :)

As you people know that I left working at 'Channel Nepal', and joined anther channel named 'White Himal Television'. You people might get confused where is it, well basically this channel is not here, its an International Nepali Channel, which broadcasts from New York. So the channel comes at U.S.A and not in Nepal.

I had to shoot for my show and I was called at 'Patan Durbar Square'. As the weather was changing now and then I was seriously stuck between what to wear haha!!!!!
I had dark pink pant which I bought years back and hadn't wore much so just decided to wear then and protect my legs as my legs are getting too tanned because I've been wearing shorts almost all the time and riding my scooty.

Time for my pairings:
White Tee- U.S.A
Hot Pink Pant: I don't remember from which mall I bought it as it was way back lol!!!!!
Flats: Bangkok
Accessory: U.K
Bag: U.K
Shades: I think it was a Gift.

I had went to 'Patan Durbar Square', but only once or twice. I wend inside there, and WOW!!!!....it was so beautiful and peaceful. I really enjoyed that place :) I think its a place where you people should hang around at times, specially for refreshment.

A white tee is actually a must have in everyone's closet, whether you are a girl or a guy. As white tee matches up with every bottoms, whether you are wearing a shorts, pants or skirts :)
So that's a must have :)

So, this was my OOTD(Outfit of the day).

Life is never the same but you have to accept the way it is as with all those ups and downs, you become more strong and please do not lose your hope as you never know what's on the other side and what's happening next ;)

Stay beautiful and always keep on smiling and be charming ^ ^

Cheers  ^ ^
Love
Shweta Gurung

My New Job :D

It was a month back I think or more than that when I got a call for a new job....yea a new job...... :D

It was a good offer to me as I was planning to leave my previous job.

So interview time, it was some what casual but still my heart was popping out haha!!!!!....so got the job as I had more than two years of experience, before I worked at 'Channel Nepal'.

I miss the shows that I used to run there but I even thank the channel and the people for trusting me, my work and giving me the platform.

I wouldn't be who I am today as a 'TV PRESENTER' without so much help and support from 'Channel Nepal.'

Now I am currently working at 'White Himal Television', which is an International Channel from New York. Sad thing: It doesn't telecast here.
Good Thing: It telecast at America.

Surprises come our way when you expect least from your life.
New job, a new beginning of another chapter hence I turned the page of my life book and moved on....
New expectations, faith in my work, was ready for another next challenge to face with a huge smile on my face.

"No matter what I am going through I still manage to smile because I think 'SMILE' is that powerful weapon which helps us to be strong and move on more in our life."

When life throws lemon at you just grab it, squeeze them and make a good lemon juice out of it :)

No matter where you life turns, close your eyes, have faith in God and at the end you might be surprised when you open your eyes.

I am currently running two shows where I show Nepali film songs and Nepali pop songs specially dedicated to all the Nepalese out there in America and even to show other people our 'Nepali Songs'.

Interview Time.........

Anyaseyo!!!!!

My honey pies :))

Everything going smoothly???

It was around 10:00 am in the morning when my phone rang and had to rush to my work. That time I was just using my lappy....feeling lazy and was confused whether to go and finish my shoot or not. But after that phone call, I had to rush like crazy.......Music on, opened my cupboard grabbed a T and a skirt.....a lil make-up then rushed through my scooter.......
Started to get hungry on the way as I had only time for my breakfast.

This was my outfit for the day:

Birdy print half sleeve's shirt, which my sister had send it from U.K, tucked inside a royal blue skirt. I love this skirt which I bought from a store here in Nepal, Its really comfy and stylish too. About the shoes, its so easy to wear and too comfy to walk around. Its made up of wood with that bright yellow and nude color which is so attractive and it can flow with any kind of outfits. I bought the shoe from 'Style Clinique Your Fashion store, Nagpokhari, Naxal.
Just left my hair open.

So reached office after that long ride and did some touch up then was all set ready:

It was Arluv Gurung.......Excited to take his interview but yet surprised too. When I enter the media the first person whom I took interview of was Sugam Pokherel. Taking interview is not easy, but slowly I learned and till now I've taken lots of interviews. Working in media for more than two years now I'm more confident and always ready to take the interviews. I've taken interview of Sugam Pokharel, Alis Rana, Bidhan Pradhan, Namrata Sapkota, Subekshya Khadka, Samyam Puri,Osika Neupane and more people. There are still more people to take interview of and get to know them more. As my show is all about fashion "Vogue With Charm" I basically keep the questions which are more related to fashion stuffs.

For now let's just keep these things aside. When you take an interview its kinda fun and challenging too but when you gotta take an interview of your own friend, then its kinda more funny haha...yea....

Arluv Gurung is my friend and when I had to take his interview, I had to talk with him in a formal way and this wasn't my first time I felt that way though. You feel like laughing in between too and I had the same experience when I took an interview of Alis Rana.

Arluv Gurung is a young and a talented dude who sings so well. His first song was "Bujhideuna", which was a massive hit on youtube and now he is back again with an awesome dancing number "Baby I".

I exactly don't remember all the questions which I asked to Arluv but still I'll tell you about his fashion tastes.
When asked him what does he prefer to fit in?
He prefers to wear more of suits and mostly his clothes are imported and his outfits are even designed by our own talented young lady "Subekshya Bhadel".
To know more about him and his taste in fashion you gotta catch my show, so video's on the way and will be soon uploaded on youtube.

Ba bye!!!!!
